Meet Your Therapist
Hi, I’m Paola — a fully accredited animal physiotherapist, certified by TCAP and UK Rural Skills.

I was born and raised in Costa Rica, where I grew up surrounded by dogs and spent my childhood rescuing and caring for them. That early love for animals led me to the UK, where I turned my passion into a profession.

Today, I offer calm, compassionate physiotherapy tailored to each animal’s needs. Whether helping them recover, manage pain, or move more freely, my goal is always to improve their quality of life — with care, kindness, and connection.
I am fully insured and am on the register of the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT).

FAQs
What is animal physiotherapy, and who is it for?
Animal physiotherapy is a complementary therapy which is carried out under veterinary referral. It supports mobility, reduces pain, and aids recovery through techniques like massage, stretching, and therapeutic exercises. While it's great for pets recovering from injury or surgery, any animal can benefit—from active pets needing injury prevention to seniors with arthritis or even healthy pets as part of a wellness routine.
How soon will I see results in my pet?
Every animal is different, but some show improvement after just a few sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may take longer. Consistency and following the home care plan are key to getting the best results.
What techniques do you use?
I use manual therapies, massage, therapeutic exercises, red light therapy and work alongside vets to ensure a safe and tailored approach
Do you have a clinic?
I don’t work from a clinic—I offer home visits to keep your pet comfortable in their own environment. This helps reduce stress and allows for tailored, real-life treatment in their everyday space.
Do I need a vet referral?
Yes, in most cases. Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (UK), physiotherapists must work under veterinary referral to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate. This allows me to work closely with your vet to support your pet’s health and recovery. If you're unsure how to get a referral, I can help guide you.
